Calcium Citrate Malate

Calcium Citrate Malate

Description
Calcium Citrate Malate (CCM) is a highly bioavailable form of calcium that combines citric acid, malic acid, and calcium. It is often used in dietary supplements and fortified foods to support bone health and prevent calcium deficiency. A water-soluble compound containing calcium, citrate (from citric acid), and malate (from malic acid).
Applications and Effect
Known for its excellent absorption in the human body—even when taken without food

CCM is better absorbed than many other calcium salts, including calcium carbonate and calcium citrate alone. It can be absorbed through both passive diffusion and active transport in the intestines.

Supports bone health helps prevent osteoporosis, especially in postmenopausal women, the elderly, or people with low dietary calcium intake.

Gentle on the stomach less likely to cause gas, bloating, or constipation compared to calcium carbonate. Can be taken with or without food.

Additional support malate may help energy metabolism by supporting the Krebs cycle.
